So, personally, I’ve had quite a rocky relationship with liquid eyeliners. They flake, they smudge, they come out too thick, or, my biggest woe; both eyes never match! Well, that was until I discovered this one.
I’ve been using this eyeliner for over a year now, religiously. My friend recommended it to me -being me, I purchased it- and it did not disappoint.
L’oréal says:
“Long lasting liquid eyeliner”
Superliner Black Lacquer is a liquid eyeliner in a special sponge tipped pen for the creation of fine lines or thick, sultry flicks. Colour is applied with precision and ease.
My opinion:
For once, I actually entirely agree with the company’s views. This felt-tip-style eyeliner is so easy to use. (If I can manage it, anyone can!) It can be applied heavily or lightly, varying the thickness of line created.
It’s heavily pigmented. When applied, it comes out quite glossy, as the inclusion of ‘lacquer’ in the title would suggest. It dries really quickly, becoming matte, but not dull!
Its not too wet, that it smudges everywhere, but not too dry that it cakes or flakes. It’s a perfect midway between the two.
Its staying power is uhh-maay-zing. I wear contact lenses, so my eyes tend to be quite watery. I’m also a divil for rubbing my eyes, but this eyeliner does not budge.
A quick test:
I put my hand under the tap for about a minute. Then I scrubed it with the towel, and here’s the results:
TA-DAAAAH!!
I think you’ll agree, that’s pretty darn good!
Price:
It’s currently €8.44 on feelunique.com and £6.49 on superdrug.com (but they’re offering 3 for 2 on L’oréal products at the mo’, so run!)
Pros:
• Highly pigmented
• Long-wearing
• Affordable
• Easy to use
• Sleek design
• Easy to remove using eye makeup remover, no need for rubbing or tugging
Cons:
I cannot fault this product at all. It does exactly what it claims, and exactly what I want it to!
Overall:
My holy grail liquid eyeliner. Definite 5/5 stars.
